Springfield leaders say crosswalk yield checks are lowering pedestrian crashes

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – City leaders said crosswalk yield checks are helping to lower the number of pedestrian deaths in Springfield. City of Springfield Traffic Safety Professional Mandy Büttgen-Quinn said officers have issued about 13 yield check citations to those violating the law since the checks began in April.
