New scholarship program to support Girl Scouts education

MISSOURI (KOAM) — A new partnership between Missouri State University and GSMH aims to help Girl Scouts further their education.

According to the Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland , the scholarship is designed to support Pell-eligible Girl Scouts from GSMH in pursing their college education.

Criteria for eligibility includes:

  • Active membership in GSMH during junior and senior years of high school.
  • Good standing with GSMH as of the date of nomination.
  • Qualify for admission to MSU and enroll as full-time students the year they graduate from high school; or transfer directly from another institution.
  • Have not received another MSU scholarship of equal or greater value.
  • Annual renewal requires completion of at least twenty-seven MSU credit hours per year with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
