The annual Rountree Halloween Parade is just around the corner, a time when the streets of the historic neighborhood are flooded with children in costumes, eager to start collecting candy.
The Rountree Halloween Parade starts at 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Weller Avenue and Delmar Street. Lineup starts around 5-5:15 p.m. Anyone is welcome to join in the walking-only parade.
During the parade, parking is available at University Heights Baptist Church at 1010 S. National Ave. Following the parade, trick-or-treating is available along Weller and Pickwick Avenues, Fremont Avenue, Kickapoo Avenue and Delaware Street.
In addition to the Rountree Halloween Parade, the News-Leader compiled a list of more than 20 trunk-or-treats and other family-friendly Halloween events happening throughout the Ozarks in October. This is not a comprehensive list.
