Mother of Lawrence County Deputy dies in car crash

MARIONVILLE, Mo. (KOAM) — About 4 p.m. Saturday Aurora-Marionville Police were notified of a serious crash at US-60 and Lincoln.

One driver, Debbie Brink , 69, was flown to a Springfield hospital. Later she passed away due to her injuries.

“Debbie was the mother of one our Lawrence County deputies. Not only that, that deputy was on scene assisting with this crash. We at AMPD and all agencies in our area are praying for this family and are on standby if there is anything we can do for him and his family. An unspeakable tragedy.

It’s our nightmare to end up on scene with loved ones, but a real possibility.

A special thanks to all the agencies that assisted on this crash. The teamwork gave Ms. Brink her best chance at survival. Each of you on fire departments, law enforcement, EMS, and 911 communicators were incredible. Thank you so much for what you do, at a moment’s notice.”
