Fordland man dies following motorcycle crash in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Fordland man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Springfield.

According to a Facebook post from the Springfield Police Department (SPD), officers responded to a crash in the 2700 block of W. Chestnut Expressway at around midnight on Oct. 5.

SPD says Raymond Lindgren, 42, and his passenger were riding westbound on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when Lindgren lost control, went off the north side of the road and hit a utility pole.

Lindgren and Maggard were both taken to the hospital. Lindgren died at the hospital due to injuries he suffered in the crash.

SPD says the circumstances of the crash are under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact SPD at 417-864-1810. Tips can also be submitted anonymously at 417-869-TIPS.
