Hawley, Kunce continue campaign stops around Missouri

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — We have less than a month before Missourians decide who they want to represent them in the U.S. Senate: incumbent Josh Hawley or democrat Lucas Kunce.

With just three weeks until Election Day, Josh Hawley is making two campaign stops in the Ozarks today.

“We have to secure our border,” Hawley said. “We’ve got to bring jobs back to this country. We’ve got to reopen American energy production.”

Hawley appeared at Cakes-n-Creams Diner in Branson at 2 p.m., followed by a visit to The Warrior’s Journey in Springfield at 4 p.m.

Hawley and Kunce are trying to reach voters across the state before Nov. 5.

Kunce made a stop at the Marine Corps League in Jefferson City over the weekend.

“For me, it’s not a left/right race,” Kunce said. “It’s not about Democrat versus Republican. It’s about investing in this state and making it so we can make our own decisions.”

With Missouri voters deciding on Amendment three, legalizing abortion, Hawley says he can’t support it.

“Amendment three would put into our Constitution transgender surgeries for minors without parental consent,” Hawley said. “And as a parent myself, having three little kids, there’s just no way I can support that.”
