Bolivar announces plans for inclusive playground

BOLIVAR, Mo. – Children in Polk County will soon have a new place to play. The City of Bolivar has announced the plans for the community’s first public inclusive playground.

The new playground will be built on the grounds of the current Bolivar Recreation & Aquatic Center at 1710 W. Broadway Street.

The City of Bolivar boasts the new playground will be “a place where everyone can play.”

The inclusive playground will include:
– a pour-and-play surface
– a 20′ tower with slides
– a merry-go-round
– a six-seat swing set
– a multi-seat seesaw
– multiple sets of sensory play equipment
– shade structures

The playground is expected to be completed by late spring or early summer 2025.
