SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — After more than a year and a half, tonight, moviegoers will once again be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of a new film by going to the newly renovated College Station Theaters in downtown Springfield.
“We’re going to have the best in-theater experience you can find,” said Curtis Killingsworth, assistant general manager for the College Station Theaters.
The grand opening of the College Station Theaters isn’t for another week but that’s not stopping management from allowing moviegoers to get a glimpse of the newly renovated theatre.
“There was a lot of changes. We put in all brand new christy laser projectors upstairs. So, you know, that’s a task. All new seats, all new dual action, heated recliners throughout every auditorium,” said Killingsworth.
He says besides rolling out new recliner seats and audio systems, they’ve also partnered up with local Springfield businesses.
“So by having like Big Slice Pizza, Coffee Ethic, Pineapple Whip up front, 1984 arcade, it’s just gelling all of Springfield that we can. All the Ozarks that we can together.”
