Investigation underway after 4-year-old drowns in SWMO

Authorities investigated the drowning of a 4-year-old in Lawrence County, Missouri.

According to the Aurora and Marionville Police Department, officers responded to a home in Marionville where a 4-year-old female was reportedly found unconscious in the home’s swimming pool.

Police, Marionville Fire and Mercy Ambulance all responded. The Police Department stated they “desperately tried to revive her.”

EMS took her to Mercy Hospital in Aurora where emergency workers pronounced her dead.

Wind turbine collapse in southwest Missouri, no injuries

According to Communications Director Kelli Price, it happened at Liberty’s North Fork Ridge Wind Farm off Highway 43 in Barton County.

Price says the site has been secured for safety. She confirmed there was no one near the site at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
