Our high temperature on Monday reached 17° in Springfield making it the coldest day in nearly a year. This morning is very cold in the low teens and single digits with wind chills in the single digits to near 0°. Layer up this afternoon as highs will only make the low to mid-20s in Missouri and near 30° in Northern Arkansas. Clouds will steadily decrease through the afternoon.

We’ll drop to the teens and single digits again tonight and will be in the 20s again on Wednesday.

Winds shift to be out of the southwest on Wednesday night and we’ll have a shot at breaking the freezing mark on Thursday. It’ll be a race against cloud cover to reach freezing in the afternoon though as our next chance for snow showers develops Thursday night.
