GREENE COUNTY, Mo. — Two suspects surrendered to police custody after allegedly assaulting a man and stealing his car.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Jayden Wright, 19, of Ozark and Jared Dimmit, 42, of Springfield are facing multiple charges:
- Wright was charged with:
- Robbery first-degree / Class A Felony
- Armed criminal action / Class U Felony
- Assault second-degree / Class D Felony
- Stealing – motor vehicle / Class D Felony
- Dimmit was charged with:
- Robbery first-degree / Class A Felony
- Assault second-degree / Class D Felony
- Stealing a motor vehicle / Class D Felony
- Resisting arrest for a felony / Class E Felony
According to the press release by GCSO, on February 5th, 2025, deputies were dispatched to the 9600 block of State Highway Z in regards to a robbery that had taken place. The victim reported he was robbed by two males who assaulted him and stole his vehicle. The suspects were identified as Wright and Dimmit.
The next day, deputies located Wright, Dimmit and the stolen vehicle. They attempted to flee but surrendered when the K9 units were involved…
