GREENE COUNTY, Mo. — Health departments around the Ozarks are reporting an increase in flu cases. Some of these departments tell Ozarks first that reported cases have doubled in recent weeks.
Springfield-Greene County Health says January 2025 saw one of the highest rates of flu in the county since 2003, with over 16,000 reported cases in that month. In January of 2024, there were less than 700 reported cases. Pharmacists say the need for flu medications has increased as well.
