Central Missouri Storm Risk: Severe Thunderstorm Threat Continues Into Sunday Night

Springfield, MO – A marginal risk for severe thunderstorms will impact central Missouri Thursday afternoon and evening, bringing potential for damaging winds and hail.

According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop primarily north of Highway 60. Some of these storms may reach severe levels, with hazards including hail up to the size of quarters and wind gusts strong enough to damage property and down trees.
