CASSVILLE, Mo. (KSNW) — Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a man who was found in the trunk of a burned-out car in rural Missouri.
Our sister station, KSNF in Joplin, reports that a 46-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman have been booked into jail on charges of first-degree murder, armed criminal action, tampering with physical evidence, and abandonment of a corpse.
DA makes decision about WPD officer fatally shooting a man
The man’s body was discovered March 20 after the burned up car had been towed from a rural area to a lot in Shell Knob. A DNA test identified the man as 55-year-old Marvin Lanc McCullough of Aurora, Missouri. The vehicle was registered to his mother, who told authorities she had not seen her son for several days.
Investigators tell KSNF that the suspects shot and killed McCullough on or around March 11 at a home in Verona . They say the pair loaded the man into the trunk of the car, which was then abandoned in the rural area and set on fire…
