Springfield man sentenced 30 years for drug-trafficking

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A man was sentenced on Wednesday for being one of the leaders in a large-scale drug-trafficking organization around southwest Missouri. The results of this crime ended up causing overdose deaths of at least two people.

Delante Leon Worsham, 40, was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison without parole.

Worsham pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl on Jan. 29, 2024. In 2018 and 2019, he was found with fentanyl with plans to distribute it in Christian and Greene counties on both occasions…
