SPRINGFIELD — Families in the Ozarks have a new reason to celebrate outdoor play.
On Friday, April 18, at 10 a.m., the Springfield South Kiwanis Club will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for The Hatch – A Playground for All at Fellows Lake.
Located in Miller Park at Fellows Lake (Gate 3, accessible from Farm Road 66), The Hatch is described as a fully inclusive playground designed for children of all physical abilities. The project was made possible through the support of several community organizations and individuals who joined forces to make the playground a reality. It will be designated as a National Demonstration Site according to City Utilities, which will allow for data collection to help monitor the effect the site has on the health of those who visit the area…
