Several gather in Springfield for Patriots’ Day to mark 250 years since the Battles of Lexington and Concord

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Several in Greene County celebrated the 250th anniversary of the American Revolutionary War.

Patriots’ Day commemorates the Battles of Lexington and Concord, which kicked off the American Revolutionary War with the “shot heard around the world.” It was the first military engagement of the American Revolutionary War between British troops and colonial militias in Massachusetts.
