SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A timelapse captured at the City Utilities of Springfield building shows the moment strong storms hit downtown Tuesday morning between 9 and 10 a.m.
City Utilities is located at 301 E Central St., just south and east of where some of the worst storm damage was reported on Tuesday.
CU is working to restore power to the largest number of customers without power since the devastating 2007 ice storm, estimating 23,000 customers were in the dark as of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30.
