Two more tornadoes confirmed from Tuesday’s storms

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Mo. — The National Weather Service (NWS) says storm surveys have found evidence of two additional tornadoes from Tuesday, April 29’s storms.

According to the NWS, one EF-1 tornado touched down near Freistatt, and one EF-0 tornado touched down near Marionville, both in Lawrence County.

The Freistatt tornado began at 8:55 a.m. 3 miles south of Freistatt near County Rd. 1090 and County Rd. 2210. The tornado had a path length of 4.18 miles, a width of 100 yards, and maximum wind speeds of 90 miles per hour, according to the NWS survey.

The Fresitatt tornado uprooted many trees and damaged many large limbs. Other damage included the roofs of outbuildings, including a turkey barn and a residence…
