SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The two major hospitals in Springfield have their main campuses along one stretch of road on the Medical Mile. Better Block SGF is trying to bring more color and outdoor leisure space to the area.
Medical Mile exists along National Ave, which Better Block SGF says is sometimes people’s first and only impression of the city. The Primrose Park Pop-Up is for both travelers and those working in the hospitals and businesses on the road.
“A hospital can be the best day of your life and the worst day of your life,” said Catherine Upp with Better Block SGF, “so how do we create a space within that that is comforting and welcoming and we turn our hospital region into a community area not just a business area.”…
