SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The power is now fully restored at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri. The shelter had limited power this week, no internet, and could only accept cash.
The phones and credit card machines are back up and running. Workers say even through the storms, the care team stayed and helped the animals.
“Our animal care team was so amazing throughout the power outage, even in the dark, they were walking around with headlamps to feed and walk the dogs and to medicate as if nothing ever happened. So we have an amazing team and we’re just so grateful for our amazing community and our volunteers and everyone that helped us out during this difficult time,” says McKenzie Palmer with the Humane Society…
