SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) was in need of volunteers to help with storm clean-up on Saturday.
“Get out and help your neighbor! That’s the best thing you can do. If this was your house, you’d want somebody to be neighborly and help you out,” said volunteer Jacob Woods.
Mark Applegate with Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) said he wanted to see more hands volunteering, but they did have 12 to 13 different groups out in Springfield and parts of Willard on Saturday. Plus, volunteers completed eight to 10 jobs across the county…
