Marshfield teen sentenced for 2023 stabbing death

MARSHFIELD, Mo. – A Marshfield teen will spend 15 years in prison for the 2023 stabbing death of a man asked to intercede in a family disturbance.

Thomas Keith Smith, Jr., was sentenced on Friday, May 9, to nine years in prison for involuntary manslaughter, three years for unlawful use of a weapon and three years for tampering with evidence, according to online court records.
