SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — City Utilities of Springfield (CU) is celebrating The Bus for its Transit Appreciation Week from June 23-27 with free bus rides, tickets to the Dickerson Park Zoo and more.
According to CU, they want to thank all the drivers, riders and dispatchers who make the CU Transit system run smoothly.
Here is the full schedule for Transit Appreciation Week:
- Monday, June 23: Customer Appreciation Day – Transit riders will receive a special thank-you gift at the Transit Center (6:00 a.m. until noon or while supplies last)
- Tuesday, June 24: Dispatcher Appreciation Day – Shine the spotlight on our incredibledispatchers who work behind the scenes to keep our buses running smoothly.
- Wednesday, June 25: Wild about The Bus! – All passengers ride for free today and can receive a coupon to the Dickerson Park Zoo while supplies last. Each coupon is good for half-off general admission (up to eight people). No other discounts or coupons apply. Valid for June 26 or 27 only. The coupon will be redeemed at the zoo admission gate and cannot be shared.
- Thursday, June 26: Dump the Pump Day – Take a free ride on The Bus. Give your car a break and let us take you around town.
- Friday, June 27: Driver Appreciation Day – Take a moment to thank our drivers for all they do.
Riders who download the MyRide SGF app — the official app of City Utilities Transit — and follow The Bus on social media such as Facebook and X will also get a thank-you gift at the Transit Center ticket window…
