Unfortunately, the heat isn’t going anywhere this week. Daily high temperatures are expected to climb into the low 90s, with heat index values flirting with the triple digits.
While the week will be uncomfortably warm, we’ll thankfully avoid extreme heat. Saturated soils and lush vegetation are helping to keep summer highs somewhat in check.
Still, conditions will feel miserable. Dew points will hover in the 70s, making it feel oppressive the moment you step outside.
There will be chances for rain throughout the week. With a humid air mass in place, isolated showers or pop-up thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon hours on any given day.
Rainfall totals should remain light overall, and most locations will likely stay dry.
