SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Republic man has been indicted by a federal grand jury following an incident on March 27, 2025.
According to a United States Department of Justice press release, Franklin Brownlee, 40, was indicted on June 18 for illegally possessing firearms and making threats toward law enforcement.
Brownlee was charged with attempted destruction of an aircraft, being an unlawful user of a controlled substance while in possession of firearms and transmitting threats to injure law enforcement across state lines, the release says.
