A man from Springfield, Missouri, has been sentenced in federal court for his role in a firearm trafficking conspiracy involving the use of a straw purchaser.
DeSean L. Franklin, 24, received a sentence of six years and six months—equivalent to 78 months—in federal prison without the possibility of parole. U.S. Chief District Judge Beth Phillips also ordered that Franklin serve three years of supervised release following his incarceration.
