FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Tree companies see more work after Sunday’s storms

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The complex of storms that developed south of the Kansas City Metro Area went through Stockton Lake and right into Springfield, packing wind speeds between 60 and 80 mph.

Doug & Alison Gragson were not home when the storm arrived, but Alison’s mother was dog-sitting.

“The tree fell and came through and hit her,” Alison said. “Something hit her. She just got a small goose egg. She’s OK. The dogs were shaken up, but they’re also okay.”…
