PLATTE CITY, Mo. (KY3) – A Platte County judge sentenced a Nixa man found guilty in the death of his wife at their home in July of 2019.
The jury convicted Todd Blankenship of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the deadly strangling and shooting death of his wife, Staci Whiteley. Blankenship will spend life plus 15 years behind bars.
Officers found her dead in a home in the 900 block of South Timber Ridge. Police say someone called 911 and asked police to check on the woman’s well-being. An autopsy found she had been shot twice and likely strangled as well. Detectives say her body also showed signs of a struggle…
