‘Celebrate family’: family-owned fireworks shop talks tents, tariffs and importance of July 4

OZARK, Mo. — As the Fourth of July is just around the corner, fireworks vendors are preparing for the busiest time of the year.

Ozarks First recently spoke with Jason Neely, owner of family-owned Backyard Pyro, who says the week of July 4 is the busiest time for their business.

“Whatever you do on the second day, pretty much you’re going to double on the third. What you do on the third is going to pretty much double on the fourth,” Neely said. “So that’s how our sales ramp up and that’s going to be about 80 to 85% of all the sales you’re going to get for that to a period that you can sell in the summer.”…
