Catch a Crook: Springfield bike store hoping for return of high-value bike

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A local bike shop is looking for answers after a high-value bicycle was stolen. Springfield Police are trying to track down the person who stole it.

The bike was stolen on July 3 from A&B Cycle at 3620 S. National Ave. in Springfield. According to employees at the store, it was around 4:15 p.m. when a customer wanted to take the bike for a test drive.

“I showed him a model, the Electra Ponto Go,” said Barrett Johnson. “It’s a throttle-style E-bike, a popular option for a lot of our commuters. It has turn signals, good for riding along with mild traffic.”…
