SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — City officials and Clean Green Springfield are announcing Storm Debris Cleanup Day on Thursday, July 17, while the city prepares for upcoming storm debris pickup.
For Storm Debris Cleanup Day, volunteers will move organic storm debris onto the curb for City pickup sweeps that begin later in July. Volunteers can register on the Clean Green SGF website, but they are asked to bring their own gloves and tools.
There will be two shifts — 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. — and 14 park locations for volunteers to meet. Volunteers will receive a free pizza lunch and a Clean Green T-shirt at noon…
