Police arrest several Nixa residents for drug trafficking

NIXA, Mo. — After serving a probation violation arrest warrant, three men ended up getting arrested for drug-related crimes.

According to a press release from the Nixa Police Department, Christopher Upton, Daniel Upton and Keith Bassak are facing charges of second-degree drug trafficking. Christopher Upton and Bassak are also facing charges of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

On July 16, the Missouri Probation and Parole Arrest Team served a probation violation warrant at a residence located in the 400 block of South Southgate Drive in Nixa, where Christopher, Daniel Upton, and Keith Bassak lived.

During the arrest of Christopher Upton, who was taken into custody on an active probation violation warrant, officers observed signs of methamphetamine use inside the home.

After obtaining a search warrant, investigators found varying amounts of methamphetamine/amphetamines ranging from residue to trafficking-level quantities in the residents’ bedrooms. Drug paraphernalia, scales, and ammo were also found…
