Springfield Police Department warns of drivers cooling down unoccupied vehicles

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Springfield Police Department warns you not to leave your vehicle running during the hotter temperatures.

While it’s common to do so in the winter to warm up your car, police are seeing people leaving their vehicles running to cool them down. The best thing to do is leave the door open to allow airflow and suffer a little bit while you wait.
