Teachers from across southern Missouri gather in Branson to innovate the classroom

BRANSON, Mo. (KY3) – Missouri teachers are preparing for the school year not just in the classroom, but also outside of it.

The Greater Ozarks Cooperating School Districts is bringing teachers from Springfield and nearly 100 school districts and universities in southern Missouri to its Innovation Summit on July 31.

“Starting the year off strong and being consistent is really important in education,” said Kristin Maerke a teacher at McCulloch Elementary in Republic, “so by coming to this conference, it just really helps us be excited about starting our years strong, having great practices in place, and then we see that pay off all throughout the entire year.”…
