GREENE CO., Mo. (KY3) – Investigators with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office are trying to track down a truck that was stolen from a home north of Springfield last month, and they’re hoping someone may know who took it.
It wasn’t just the truck either. According to the sheriff’s office, the thief also stole a flatbed trailer and a piece of heavy equipment that was on it.
“It’s a little bit of a unique truck, a little older,” said dept. Derek James. “The truck is described as a 2000 red F-350 Super Duty. It has a black cattle guard on the front. It’s a flatbed on the back. It’s pulling a goose neck trailer, and it had a Bobcat skid steer on it, and it also had an extra attachment for the skid steer on the trailer.”
The items were stolen from a home located near Farm Roads 149 and 40 in the northern part of the county sometime during the night of July 27. Part of what makes this case challenging is the fact that there was no surveillance footage, nor a suspect description. The pictures the sheriff’s office provided are some that the owner already had. Detectives said they’ve already gotten some tips, and they’re hoping more could lead to solving the case…
