Springfield, Mo. – After several warm days, Missouri will see a welcome cool-down beginning early next week, bringing highs well below seasonal averages.
According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, Saturday’s temperatures will peak between 84 and 91 degrees, followed by another hot day Sunday with highs near 87. By Monday, however, cooler air will settle in across the Ozarks, keeping daytime highs in the mid-70s to upper 70s—nearly 10 degrees below normal for late August.
