SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — City Utilities of Springfield Water Quality Lab is taking an up close look at a recent algal bloom.
The algae in these pictures is harmless, but CU said in a Facebook post that the natural events can impact the taste and smell of the water. The pictures of the algae from this recent algal bloom is magnified 200 times the actual size of the organism.
