Love it or hate it, we’re about halfway through this September heatwave. This sizzling end to summer is expected to stick around for a few more days.
The heat isn’t letting up today, with highs expected to climb into the lower to mid-90s across most locations.
Skies will be fairly cloudy, but don’t expect much in terms of wet weather, as it will be hard to squeeze out any moisture. Rain chances remain near zero today, but will start to increase as we head into the work week.
The heat dome is beginning to loosen its grip over the Ozarks. While temperatures will stay well above average, the chances for showers will start to improve.
Isolated afternoon showers will be possible Monday through Wednesday.
Relief finally arrives Wednesday night, when a cold front sweeps across the Ozarks. Scattered showers are expected on Thursday, and temperatures will return to near-average levels to wrap up the work week…
