Scattered storms are expected to break out later this afternoon near I-49, before pressing east across Hwy. 65 through early evening. The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded the risk to slight or 2 out of 5 risk.
The overall setup favors some stronger storms today, with the emphasis on strong and potentially damaging wind gusts. Hail will also be possible with the stronger storms, possibly up to quarter or half dollar size.
