NIXA, Mo. (KY3) – Nixa’s Chief of Police says the city has been growing exponentially for several years, and as those in charge of keeping people safe, their need for more equipment, officers, and space has grown too.
The new headquarters will be located on N. Leeann Drive, less than a mile away from the current headquarters. It is being paid for by a 3/4 cent sales tax increase passed in 2023.
While they originally wanted to expand their current lot, the dimensions of the area made it difficult for the amount of expansion they needed…
