For Bears wide receiver Alred “Dash” Charles Luke, his identity took on a new meaning at Missouri State University. A 5-foot-8, 175-pound senior from New Orleans, Louisiana, Luke began his time in Springfield, Missouri, with a newfound purpose – playing for his grandmother Brenda who passed away around the same time he came to MSU.
After establishing his identity as a Bear in 2024 with one start and 12 appearances, the plucky Luke etched his name in stone on Saturday, Sept. 20, when he hauled in the first home touchdown the Bears ever scored as a member of the Football Bowl Subdivision…
