Despite sunny skies and cool overnights, daytime temperatures this weekend stayed between 5° and 8° above normal. This trend will continue this week with temperatures steady in the mid-80s each day. The bad news is that rain stays away from the Ozarks this week, with no real signs showing up that it’ll return soon.

The warmer weather is thanks to a summer-like ridge of high pressure that has developed over the Ozarks. This ridge will steadily break down through the week. Temperatures will gradually lower by roughly a degree a day from Wednesday through the upcoming weekend.
A trough will be near the Ozarks on Sunday, but cooler air will stay to our north. Unfortunately, rain will stay to our north…..
