Guardian raises $1,500 for final Honor Flight of 2025

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Multiple veterans are set to visit military memorials and the Arlington National Cemetery as part of the final Honor Flight of 2025.

According to an Honor Flight of the Ozarks press release, 81 veterans and 81 guardians will be leaving Springfield National Airport around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, for a daylong trip to Washington, D.C.

Seven of the veterans set to go on the trip served during the Korean War, and 73 served in the Vietnam War. The release states that seven veterans currently reside in Arkansas and the rest live in southwest Missouri.

During a meeting at the airport on Sunday, Oct. 19, veterans and guardians met to discuss the planned trip. One of the guardians, Springfield Catholic Senior Luke Lygrisse, presented a check to the association…
