WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Two people have been seriously hurt in a helicopter crash in Missouri.
KSN’s sister station, KOLR in Springfield, reports that it happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, in a field located between a sports complex and Springfield’s Downtown Airport, which is a small airport not connected to the Springfield-Branson Airport. The helicopter, operated by So Fly Flight Training Academy, had reportedly taken off from the Downtown Airport shortly before the crash.

Springfield police say two people were taken to a local hospital, where they are in serious, but stable condition.
