Springfield Area Residents Invited to Free Virtual Waterfowl Identification Program on Nov. 14

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will offer a free virtual program called ‘Birds: Winter Waterfowl ID’ on November 14, 2025. The event will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Staff from the Springfield Conservation Nature Center will organize the session. The program is designed to help participants identify waterfowl in Missouri during winter.

Naturalist Jordanya Raos will lead the session. She will discuss migratory ducks, geese, and swans that visit Missouri waterways in winter. The program is open to hunters and wildlife enthusiasts. It will provide tips for identifying local bird species…
