Springfield voters to decide on lodging tax increase for convention center

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Springfield voters will decide on Tuesday, Nov. 4, whether to increase the city’s lodging tax to help fund a new convention center.

Ballot Question One asks voters if the city should increase the current lodging tax by 3%. City officials said the increase would help fund the $175 million convention center project and secure state funding earmarked for it.
