SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Pastor Michael Grant found himself in an unexpected position after hurricane damage closed Jamaica’s international airports, leaving him unable to return home from a teaching trip in St. Croix.
Grant, who serves as missions director for the Assembly of God in Jamaica, was traveling on Wednesday when he learned about the approaching hurricane and decided to head back to Jamaica. He became stranded in Miami when both of the country’s international airports closed due to storm damage.
Convoy of Hope learned about Grant’s travel problems and invited him to its headquarters to help plan relief efforts for his home country. Grant has been receiving updates from his family, who remain safe, and his community about the hurricane’s impact…
