LYNCHBURG, VA–Kirk Nelson and the Missouri State women’s soccer team might’ve been the underdog against top-seeded Western Kentucky, in the Quarterfinals of the Conference USA Women’s Soccer Tournament, but they shutout the Hilltoppers, 2-0, like they were the favorite.
Thanks to Ellie Neath’s first career goal, in the first half, and Reilly Heman’s breakaway goal, in second half, MSU abruptly ended WKU’s season, and is moving on to Tuesday’s semifinal match.
