Panthers Fall in Three Matches at Missouri Duals

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury wrestling competed in three matches at the Missouri Duals on Sunday, falling 51-0 against Missouri, 25-17 to Missouri Valley, and 30-15 to Central Missouri.

The Panthers opened the day against the host Missouri, where the Tigers posted a 51-0 shutout. Jeremiah Halter had the closest result for Drury, dropping a 3-0 decision at 174 pounds.

Drury bounced back with a strong showing against Missouri Valley, but came up short in a 25-17 loss. Freshman Garrett Salt recorded the Panthers’ only fall of the match and the first of his career.

  • Bryson Humphries opened with a 9-6 decision at 125 pounds.
  • Garrett Salt earned a fall at 141 pounds.
  • Mason Knight won his 149-pound bout by technical fall, 17-0.
  • Jeremiah Halter earned his first win of the season with a 10-8 decision at 174.

In the final dual of the day, Drury fell 30-15 to Central Missouri.. Tai Koyama led the Panthers with a fall in the 165-pound bout.
